Shafeequddin heralded the cause of providing total security services to one and all and initiated the Sharp Detective & Security Service (SDSS), in 1979, the first of its kind in Hyderabad. The expertise that he gained as a member of World Association of Detectives (WAD), Association of Investigators and Security Organisations of India (AISOI-Mumbai) Association of Security Organisations of India (ASOI-Delhi) and as the Vice President of the Association of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Security Specialist Organisation (AAPISSO - HYDERABAD) helped him shape this agency.
